My secret santa for this year on Animexx.de
the person I painted it for did not yet say if she likes it. I hope she does.

I'm very pleased with the hair and face.

My older Secret Santa pictures:

I think this will be my last submission this year. I have a heap of WIPs. So look forward to 2012!

The colours are so amazing in this picture! Somehow I could've never imagined a picture with such a colour scheme. But it makes me think I should try to use more purple and stuff. And I love it how the (real) lioness turned out! I like it how you defined her shape and the values. This is one of my favourite pictures from you =)

thank you!
(I tell you a little secret about the coloring of the lioness :D I simple blocked in her shape, added a slight gradient and then only shaded the most minimal of details like the ear. The result will lokk very flat like it does in the picture but it's a great method when you are not really comfortable with the volumina of something. - still, I need to learn how to do it properly -_-)

I know that whole problem about masses just to well... But it's nonetheless a good style here. Thanks for telling me the little secret ;)

That is gorgeous. I love the contrast between the lady and the large cat (can't tell what it is!) and the way you rendered the shading on the cat-- shading white isn't something everyone does well!

thank you very much! Actually I have no idea whatsoever how to colour a white large cat, I only used a little trick (as explained on the answer to *Nephilie's comment). Once you see through it, it won't look so great anymore ^^; but thank you nontheless :D
